News from FUM - 1/29/2008

January 29, 2008 — Thanks to the many donations from concerned individuals, meetings and organizations, we have sent over $18,000 from the Kenya Relief Fund and are getting ready to send an additional $15,000 yet this week.

Your donations are so encouraging and such a reassurance of the love and heartfelt concerns you have for those affected by this crisis and we are deeply grateful. Thank you.

We remain in daily contact with all of our staff in Kenya, and are confident that all are safe and taking care of themselves.

It is easy to sit here in the States and feel helpless and insignificant in offering assistance to those struggling, but we ask that you continue to hold in the light:

  • our Kenyan brothers and sisters,
  • John and Rose Muhanji and their family,
  • Ben and Jody Richmond,
  • Eden and James Grace and their boys, Isaiah and Jesse, and
  • Judy Davis

...as they struggle to remain safe and to encourage peace within their communities and among their neighbors.

Your prayers are making a difference in their lives.
